Here is my new #hardplaza track. Hardplaza is distinct from its cousin Mallsoft by using punk noise and trap music that is very easily looped as ‘sinister sizurp’ music. The genius of hardplaza is that it’s meant to control your mind and make you shop more, even though it’s not distinct. It’s meant to be left on repeat while the ‘listener’ eats at the food court. The repetition of the music eventually forces its way into the listener’s mind subconsciously, to be recalled at later date as a memory of something that may or may not have happened. Hardplaza is the ultimate commentary on our post-industrial, dead mall landscape littered with failing infrastructure and suped up hoopties.
As distinct as hardplaza is argued by listeners, the concept of post-ambient commentary about consumer culture is not new and hardplaza fits easily within the spectrum of trapwave fracking vapor music.
